Welcome to the 1000 Mile Challenge
Welcome to the Pilgrims 1000 Mile Challenge. We want to encourage and support all of our pilgrim family to get out there and walk! Not only is it a great training opportunity for the Camino, but it is a great boost for your physical and mental health.
Did you know it takes less than an hour to walk 2.74 miles per day to hit 1000 miles in 12 months? You can do it! The goal is to be consistent and make walking a habit.

Rules of the Road (so the speak)
This challenge is intended to be for actual training miles. This includes miles walked outdoors or on a treadmill. It does not include casual miles that we all get on a daily basis in our regular activities. If possible, please use some type of tracking device, e.g., Fitbit, Apple Watch, iPhone, or other related items, to calculate actual mileage during a scheduled walk or hike.
Remember it is only a competition with you and yourself. The best prize of all will be the satisfaction of creating a habit that will make you stronger and healthier.
